Hello!  Thanks so much for reading my blog.  After 26 years in Texas, I decided to take a huge leap and move to South Korea to teach English for a year.  Ever since I lived in Germany in 2005, it’s always been a dream of mine to spend more time abroad.  As the time zoomed by, I quickly realized that one year just wasn’t enough time to spend in Asia.  There’s so much more I want to do and see before I go home.

This blog was created mainly for my friends and family back home to keep up with my experiences.  The title was inspired by one of my favorite Korean/Tex-Mex creations: Korean tacos!  Korean BBQ taco trucks were gaining huge popularity in Dallas before I left, and I was instantly addicted.  I absolutely love anything to do with the fusion of one or more cultures.  The results are simply unique and beautiful, and I hope that’s the type of experience I have on my journey through Korea and Asia.
